Animation & Film
From the Golden Age of Hollywood to contemporary animation practice
Figuration grew out of the award-winning practice of London Animation Studio. Ever since, our work has reflected a passion for animation and film, from our own studio productions, including The Foundling and The Library, to events such as a Moomins Winter's Eve at Dulwich Picture Gallery and a spectacular speakeasy life drawing event with Art Model Collective.
In the relentless city, J stumbles on The Starkers Academy and befriends Time. Artists’ moving image, live performance, exhibition & workshops celebrating identity, body positivity & mental wellbeing. Currently in development.
An Untold Tale of abandonment and dreams. A micro-short animation commissioned by Animate Projects and Anim18.
Annie’s day at The Library starts like any other, but the intriguing man who takes the seat opposite her encourages her thoughts to stray. This animation for the London Library pits library etiquette against carnal desires.
This festive season, Figuration joined 300 people at Dulwich Picture Gallery for a Moomins Winter Eve, celebrating Finnish author and artist Tove Jansson and her much-loved Moomintroll and family.
