Paint Your Selfie!

Express Yourself

Self-portraiture is a timeless technique, and in the 21st century has become a popular form of expression in photography, giving birth to the glorious Selfie.

Over two days, young people aged 8 to 14 took the idea of the selfie to a fresh level through careful observation and painting. After pairing up and painting each other, they moved onto painting their own image, first from imagination and then with a variety of mirrors and viewpoints.

Guided by tutor Paul M Jones, they discovered the value of how they paint and how they choose to express themselves through this medium.
